Since the formation of the BJP government in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has been actively taking action. Now, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma has withdrawn the application filed during the previous Gehlot government to take back the SLP in Jai Narayan Vyas University, involving an alleged scam of recruiting 154 teachers.
The F.I.R. of the JNVU teacher recruitment scam had been filed in the Supreme Court and was under investigation by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) against SLP, which was filed during the previous Congress government’s tenure to take back SLP. On October 6, 2023, the Bhajan Lal government withdrew the application for taking back SLP in the Supreme Court.
The recruitment of teachers at Jai Narayan Vyas University took place in 2013, where allegations were made that during the recruitment, qualifications were overlooked. The Anti-Corruption Bureau was investigating this. At that time, the government had put a stop to it. Two days before taking the decision under the Model Code of Conduct, the BJP had taken the Congress home.
In the case of the teacher recruitment scam in Jai Narayan Vyas University in 2013, former Vice-Chancellor Professor Bhanwar Singh Rajpurohit and former MLA Jugal Kabira have already been sent to jail. Before this, the Vasundhara government had expressed the intention to further investigate the case. Now, after the order of the Bhajan Lal government, there will be swift progress in the investigation of the teacher recruitment scam case.
