Atishi Claims Insight on BJP’s CM Candidate for Delhi, Citing ‘Credible Sources’

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Friday condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for failing to reveal its chief ministerial candidate prior to the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. She stressed that the residents of Delhi are curious about who the BJP’s CM candidate will be, while contending that a vote for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would lead to Arvind Kejriwal returning as Chief Minister if the party secures victory in the February election.

Atishi, who took on the position of Delhi’s Chief Minister after Arvind Kejriwal stepped down following his imprisonment last year, asserted that BJP’s Kalkaji candidate, Ramesh Bidhuri, is expected to be their choice for the chief ministerial role.

“Today, the entire Delhi is inquiring of the ‘Galli-Galoch’ party about its CM face. The people of Delhi understand that voting for AAP will allow Arvind Kejriwal to reclaim the CM position. Nevertheless, they want to know who BJP’s CM face will be,” Atishi stated.

Ramesh Bidhuri, a former BJP MP and the party’s candidate for Kalkaji, recently encountered criticism for a controversial comment where he compared the smoothness of roads he would construct to Priyanka Gandhi’s cheek. Following public indignation, Bidhuri retracted the statement.

Atishi additionally accused, “BJP’s Core Committee meeting is currently ongoing, and they will convene their parliamentary board meeting this evening. Through reliable sources, we have discovered that the ‘Galli-Galoch’ party has concluded that its CM face will be the one leader who resorts to the most insults, which is Ramesh Bidhuri. ”

In the meantime, AAP and BJP are engaged in an ongoing dispute regarding allegations of voter list tampering made by Arvind Kejriwal. On Thursday, Kejriwal conferred with senior Election Commission officials, claiming the BJP removed valid voters while inserting fraudulent names onto the electoral rolls. He further alleged that Parvesh Verma, his BJP opponent in the New Delhi seat, was involved in the distribution of money.

In retaliation, BJP members conducted a ‘Purvanchal Samman March’ on Friday to protest Kejriwal’s supposed comments against Purvanchalis. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, speaking to the media, remarked, “Arvind Kejriwal and AAP have a track record of disrespecting the individuals from UP, Bihar, and Jharkhand… How did you (Arvind Kejriwal) have the audacity to label people from UP, Bihar, and Jharkhand as fake… The commitments made by Arvind Kejriwal and AAP are phony… The citizens of Purvanchal will seek retribution on February 5. ”

The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for a single phase on February 5, with the results expected to be announced on February 8.
