Police seizes drugs worth Rs 2.52 cr, nabs three in anti-narcotics raid

With an aim to crush the menace of drugs in the society, Delhi Police in a yet another anti-narcotics operation arrested three accused, who were engaged in supplying of Heroin and Cannabis in Delhi, NCR.

A total of 624 grams of heroin and 5 Kgs of Cannabis (Ganja) were recovered from their possessions, worth around Rs 2.52 crores in the international market.
According to the Police, a secret information was received on September 30 person regarding Devender, who is involved in smuggling of Narcotics substances who would come to sell and deliver a huge consignment of heroin to his receiver at near Hazrat Nijamuddin.
Diring the course of operation, the police personnel laid a trap and apprehended Devender (36), a resident of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Upon the search of his bag, two packets containing Heroin weighing 422 grams and 204 grams was recovered from his possession.
During interrogation, he disclosed that he procured the recovered heroin from- Ajay and Babloo.

On October 2, accused Babloo Yadav (27) who is a resident of Mansarovar Garden, Jhuggi, Kirti Nagar, was also arrested in this case.
During investigation, supplier of accused Babloo Yadav was revealed as Gopal (42) who is from Nainital, Uttarakhand and two days later, he was also arrested.
Later on, 5 Kgs of Cannabis was also recovered. Inter State Cell, Crime Branch has been not only targeting local drug traffickers, but also against those having interstate network of drug trafficking. Further investigation of the case is being carried out to unearth the whole chains of drug trafficking.
