PM Modi also put his signature in the guest book at Sydney’s Admiralty House.Earlier on Tuesday, PM Modi emphasised “Mutual Trust and Mutual Respect” as the cornerstone of the strong historical links between India and Australia in his important speech to the Indian diaspora at a community gathering during his visit to Sydney.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he believes the relationship is “beyond this” and “it is mutual trust and mutual respect.” He noted that previous definitions of the relationship between India and Australia were the “3Cs” (Commonwealth, Cricket, and Curry), “Democracy, Diaspora, and Dosti,” and later “Energy, Economy, and Education.”On the second day of his visit to Australia, PM Modi spoke at a community event in Sydney. He hailed the Indian diaspora in Australia as being a driving factor behind the mutual respect and trust between the two countries.
“It was once claimed that the relationship between India and Australia is characterised by the three Cs: Commonwealth, Cricket, and Curry. Then it was stated that “Democracy, Diaspora, and Dosti” define our relationship. Others claimed that the energy, economy, and education are equally important factors in our relationship. To a packed arena at Sydney Olympic Park, he added, “But I feel that the relationship between India and Australia is beyond this; it is mutual trust and respect.On Tuesday in Sydney, PM Modi met with executives from the major Australian corporations. He advocated for expanding collaboration with the Indian sector in areas including technology, skill development, and clean energy at the sessions.
