Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to touch down in Jaipur a day earlier than originally scheduled, arriving on January 5 at approximately 4:30 pm. Departing from Jaipur Airport, he will make a beeline for the BJP headquarters, engaging in crucial discussions with party officials and newly elected MLAs.
This marks PM Modi’s second visit to Jaipur since the BJP government’s formation in the state, with his last appearance at Bhajan Lal Sharma’s swearing-in ceremony on December 15.
This unscheduled visit presents a pivotal opportunity for PM Modi to directly engage with MLAs post-assembly elections, carrying significant organisational weight.
Home Minister Amit Shah is slated to accompany him during these strategic deliberations. All state presidents of the party have received invitations for this meeting, with strict instructions to be at the party headquarters by 4:30 pm on Friday.
The alteration in PM Modi’s itinerary, moving up his arrival, was prompted by a special request from the state BJP organisation. A grand welcome program is in the works, stretching from the airport to the BJP headquarters.
Following the day’s proceedings, PM Modi is scheduled to stay overnight at Raj Bhavan, subsequently participating in the DGP-IG conference starting January 6.
Anticipating the high-profile visit, the Special Protection Group (SPG) has meticulously inspected the party headquarters to ensure robust security measures. The area is expected to be sealed off from Thursday morning, with access restricted to authorized party officials only. The unexpected change in plans has set political circles abuzz, with heightened anticipation surrounding PM Modi’s early arrival and the consequential discussions and decisions that may unfold during his stay in Jaipur.
Home Minister, Amit Shah, is scheduled to participate in the three-day DGP-IG conference in Jaipur from January 5 to 7. The Home Minister is slated to be the chief guest at the conference, while National Security Advisor Ajit Doval may preside over the event.
Over 150 government officials participating in the conference, including DIG-IG from 28 states and IG from 8 Union Territories, will be accommodated in quarters near the assembly. Jaipur Police is responsible for the security of these officials.
Bulletproof cars have been arranged for the heads of all major agencies in the country during the conference. Jaipur Police commandos are deployed for the security of DGP-IG. A dedicated schedule is in place, starting with morning yoga sessions at 6:00 am in the MLA quarter courtyard. A yoga teacher has been appointed for this purpose, and sports tracksuits have been provided for DIG and IG.
The Conference schedule includes a yoga session at 6:00 am, after that, at 9:00 am, officials will be sent to the conference centre by bus, then a seminar will be held from around 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the end of the day, officials will be brought back to the MLA quarters.
The arrangements include specific wake-up times, yoga sessions, transportation to the conference, and the return of officials to government quarters each day. The conference aims to bring together top police officials from across the country and discuss pertinent security matters.
