The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) delving into the Bliss Consultancy case, which led to the arrest of Ashesh and Shivangi Mehta, has uncovered a suspicious pattern indicating the couple might be framed by an external entity. Strikingly similar to a false drug case in Madhya Pradesh where the Indore police declared the couple innocent, the EOW is now scrutinizing the involvement of an entity named Denron Rea IT Trade Pvt Ltd, a trading company that falsely claimed Bliss Consultancy owed them Rs 200 crore.
Allegations suggest that entities with political links are orchestrating a financial downfall for Mehta. The couple filed a petition against Denron Rea in the Bombay High Court in 2023, but none of the company’s directors responded to the summons. A hearing in the case is scheduled for the upcoming week.

Ashesh Mehta, proclaiming his innocence, stated to the police that he never deceived investors but fell victim to a false drug case. Despite returning over Rs 170 crore to panicking investors, ongoing investigations and legal challenges have impeded the process. Mehta assured authorities of settling the remaining Rs 80 crore, affecting around 20-25 investors among the 4,000 who collectively invested Rs 400 crore.
The fake arbitration submitted by Denron Rea to the bank has left remaining investors in limbo. The police discovered that Denron Rea submitted counterfeit documents, including a dead arbitrator’s signature, raising questions about the legitimacy of the claim.
The Mehtas suspect that Denron Rea might be linked to the fake drug case in Madhya Pradesh and is distracting them through panic among investors to acquire money via fraudulent arbitrations. Denron Rea, rented land in Khed, Pune, merely to establish its existence.

During the arbitration, a dummy Ashesh Mehta was presented in Pune, while the real Ashesh had no connection with the process.
Investors question the suspicious claims made by Denron Rea, urging authorities to scrutinize the source of funds and examine the company’s bank accounts. Allegations suggest that Mehta is being targeted by entities backed by politicians with vested interests.
The Mehtas’ lawyer, Hemant Ingle, emphasized that documents submitted by Denron before the Pune district court are neither signed by the clients nor were they aware of any arbitration by Denron. The high court has summoned Denron Rea’s directors for the next hearing, indicating a serious view of the matter.
