The International Cricket Council (ICC) executive board’s emergency meeting on the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule ended without a resolution and is set to reconvene on Saturday. This comes after Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi firmly opposed the proposed ‘hybrid’ hosting model, despite India’s unwillingness to travel to Pakistan due to a lack of government clearance.

A senior ICC board member told PTI, “The Board did meet briefly today. All parties continue to work towards a positive resolution for the Champions Trophy 2025, and it is expected that the Board will reconvene on Saturday and continue to meet over the next few days.”
