On Sunday, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav lashed out at the government and issued a strong challenge to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi after his gang claimed responsibility for the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai on Saturday night, October 12.

Yadav dismissed Lawrence Bishnoi as a “petty criminal” and declared that, if permitted by law, he would dismantle Bishnoi’s entire gang within 24 hours. He expressed anger over the murder and criticized authorities for allowing Bishnoi to continue orchestrating killings from behind bars.

In a social media post, Yadav vented his frustration, stating, “Is this a country or a nation of cowards? A criminal sits in jail, issuing threats and killing people, while everyone watches. First, it was Moosewala, then the Karni Sena leader, and now an industrialist-politician. If allowed, I will wipe out this criminal network in 24 hours.”

Baba Siddique, an NCP leader aligned with Ajit Pawar’s faction, was shot outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra by three assailants on motorcycles. Despite being rushed to Lilavati Hospital, he was pronounced dead. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde confirmed that two suspects had been arrested, with one still at large, but assured that the fugitive would be apprehended soon.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang accepted responsibility for the murder in a chilling social media post, further intensifying the tension surrounding the case.
