A tragic incident occurred in Sector 10 of Panchkula on Saturday, where a house fire bought a two-year-old girl to death, as reported by the police. The authorities revealed that the child was trapped in the flames and smoke, ultimately succumbing to suffocation.
According to the police, the fire ignited in the servant’s room on second floor of the building. While the mother lost consciousness from suffocation and panic, the two-year old died at the scene.
Vijay Kumar, the investigating officer, informed ANI that he was notified about a fire incident in a residential structure. Head constable Jaswinder Singh, one of the initial responders, arrived at the scene to observe smoke emanating from the building. “The unconscious two-year-old girl found inside the premises was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival,” stated the investigating officer.
