Joe Biden To Drop Out Of The Presidential Race On This Condition

Joe Biden recently mentioned that he might consider stepping down from his role if advised by medical professionals. In a recent interview, Biden noted that a serious health condition could lead him to leave office, highlighting the importance of following doctors’ recommendations. Earlier, while speaking at the NAACP’s annual convention, the POTUS remarked that Vice President Kamala Harris “could be president of the United States.”

Biden Suggests Possible Departure Due to Health Issues

The President, who is aiming for a second term in the White House, responded to a question in a BET interview about whether there were any conditions that might make him reconsider his candidacy for the presidential race.

Responding to the same he said, “If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, you got this problem and that problem,” in an excerpt released on Wednesday as per Times.

After a disastrous debate night with competitor Donald Trump, President Biden previously told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that he would only step down if the “Lord Almighty” instructed him to do so. However, his latest remarks come amid growing calls for him to step aside. Initially, there were no such demands, but on Wednesday, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) became the 21st House Democrat to urge Biden to step down, stating that it’s time for him to pass the reins, according to the Post.

Watch the interview here:

Despite extensive calls from the public and fellow Democrats for him to resign over repeated public gaffes that have raised concerns about his cognitive health, Biden has consistently rejected the idea of stepping down. Previously, he addressed these concerns by mentioning that he has undergone “three significant and intense neurological exams,” with the most recent occurring in February.

Harris has agreed to a potential debate with JD Vance, Trump’s VP pick.

On the opening day of the RNC, Donald Trump selected Ohio senator JD Vance as his running mate for the 2024 presidential election. Formerly a critic of Trump, Vance has now become a strong supporter of the MAGA movement. Known for his conservative voting record and significant influence in the Midwest, Vance’s addition could bolster Trump’s support in that region. Meanwhile, the Biden-Harris campaign announced on Monday their willingness to debate Vance.

“Now that the Trump campaign has selected a running mate, we encourage them to agree to a debate between vice-president Harris and Senator Vance,” Harris said. Reportedly, the Vice President has chosen a potential third debate date hosted by CBS.
