On Delhi airport rush, a high-level meeting will be held by Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Thursday in Delhi.
Meanwhile, the meeting will be held after 11 am in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The meeting will be attended by senior officers in the MHA, officials in the Minister of Civil Aviation, and other concerned members, including those in Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Moreover, considering the complaints on social media by irate passengers like missed flights and serpentine pre-boarding lines at Delhi airport the meeting is being held.
Earlier on social media pictures of overcrowding at Delhi International Airport were posted by a Twitter user. The passengers also claimed that there are long waits for security checks and mismanagement by the airport staff.
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia visited the Delhi Airport and held a three-hour meeting with the Airport Authority and CISF representatives.
Taking to Twitter the ministry handle posted and said, “In order to curb congestion and waiting time at Delhi Airport, necessary actions have been taken which have resulted in the least wait time for boarding at checkpoints entry gates and smooth transit of passengers.”
However, at the Delhi Airport security checks and baggage screening systems have been added and to avoid vehicles clogging traffic marshals have been added. In the entry 26 additional staffers have been deployed.
