In a case of food poisoning in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, two family members perished, and one is in critical condition, according to police. The district’s Tehwara police station area in Katra is where the incident was first reported. Ramprasad Sahni, age 36, and Soni Kumari, age 7, have been named as the deceased.
“The family members’ health started to deteriorate after they ate chapati and vegetables for their dinner at their home. The neighbours rushed them to a nearby hospital where two of them died,” said Katra Police Station SHO Kumar Abhishek.
The district medical department has started investigating the matter, said police.
