THANE: Concerns rose as a leopard was captured on CCTV at Kamba-Varap village along the Kalyan-Murbad road. Forest officials launched an immediate search for the big cat after the footage, recorded on the premises of a private power company, showed the leopard near a residential area. Despite efforts, the officials couldn’t locate the leopard until 6 am the next day. Residents of surrounding villages have been advised to stay vigilant. Earlier this year, leopard sightings in Marol and Malad East sparked concerns among locals.
