JAIPUR: Yesterday, a shocking incident came to light in Jaipur where a stepfather allegedly attempted to sexually assault his stepdaughter. The mother of the victim had concealed the shameful act out of embarrassment, but when the accused tried to repeat the crime, she decided to intervene in the matter. When she objected to this mortifying act, the mother alleges that the stepfather threatened to harm their daughter. The victim’s mother, fearing for her daughter’s safety, decided to file a complaint against her husband. The case has been registered under the POCSO Act.
