Stalin writes to CMs of four states to approach SC on NEET, JEE

Amidst the chorus for postponing NEET and JEE exams growing louder, DMK president M.K. Stalin on Thursday has written a letter to Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Odisha asking them to approach Supreme Court to postpone the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) exams this year.

In the letter, Stalin has stated that the situation is not conducive to conduct exams this year as the conditions are not conducive. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there is no transport facility for the students to travel to the exam centre.  On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu health minister wrote to the Union health minister asking to cancel the NEET exams this year as it would risk the lives of the students and also requested to carry admission for this year’s medical admission based on the marks secured by the students in their 12th board exams.
