Advocates Ujjawal Gaur and Rohit Pandey have written to Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, urging the apex court to take suo moto cognizance of the matter. In their letter, they emphasized the gravity of the situation and the need for swift and decisive action. They argued that the victim’s tragic death demands a thorough investigation and exemplary punishment for the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, Dr Monica Singh from Telangana has filed a petition seeking immediate deployment of central forces to protect RG Kar Medical College and its staff. She highlighted the recent attacks on the college and the prevailing atmosphere of fear among medical personnel.
