According to Dawn, at least eight Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) supporters were arrested and 20 others were booked for reportedly obstructing roads and organizing rallies in Rawalpindi in response to the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
ASI Mohammad Latif filed a FIR with Kotli Sattian police, claiming that PTI activists yelled slogans and blocked roadways. He also said that the workers collected stones but were overcome by cops. According to Dawn, some workers were able to flee.
In another instance, 13 PTI workers, including an adviser to party chairman Imran Khan, were arrested by Racecourse police on Saturday for providing resistance during the arrest of their party boss at Zaman Park.
