The state Congress took to the streets against the central agency ED and staged a strong protest. This protest was carried out at the Ambedkar Circle located Directorate of Revenue Intelligence office. During this, leaders and workers were kept outside the ED office to prevent them from entering the ED office. Congress leaders and workers were stopped by putting barricades by the police. At the meeting held during this time, Congress leaders launched a scathing attack on the Modi government and the Bharatiya Janata Party. They said that the BJP government is using constitutional institutions to harass opposition leaders through the ED. It may be noted that on Thursday, the ED had raided the addresses of PCS chief Govind Dotasra and MLA Omprakash Hudla.
In the Congress demonstration, the Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and the Deputy-in-Charge of Rajasthan, Amrita Dhavan, Veerendra Singh Rathore, Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, MLA Ganga Devi, Gopal Meena, Rafiq Khan, Vedprakash Solanki, Alok Beniwal, Indira Meena, Congress candidate Dr Archana Sharma, Pushpendra Bharadwaj, Naseem Akhtar Insaaf, Pradesh Congress Vice President Ram Bilas Chaudhary, Kailash Meena, Organization Secretary Lalit Tunwala, and spokesperson Swarnim Chaturvedi were also present.
