All organizations are quite enthusiastic about the announcement of Bharat Bandh against the dictatorship being imposed on farmers, especially in Punjab, by the central government and no effort is being spared to make the bandh successful. This statement was made by the coordinators of the Joint Farmers Front, Ed. Rajinder Singh Rana and President Master Charn Singh of Kul Hind Kisan Sabha.
The farmer leaders said that during the Bharat Bandh, emergency health services, processions, and essential services for those going abroad will continue, but shops and vehicles will be completely closed. They said that the increasing dominance of hit-and-run laws and corporate houses imposed by the government will prove fatal for the common man.
Apart from electricity and transportation, banks, insurance, and other central departments are also participating in the Bharat Bandh. For the first time in the country, such a large unity of farmers, slaves, laborers, and hardworking people has come forward to stop the loot of corporate houses and to save the country’s constitution and constitutional institutions from dictatorship and communal fascism. The action of Bharat Bandh is a very big task to make it successful in a peaceful manner, and therefore the support of all sections is expected in it.
The leaders said that planning is being done in the entire assembly constituency area to prepare for the bandh and create an atmosphere. They appealed to people from all sections of society to provide maximum support to make the bandh successful.
