Patiala authorities seize massive 30 kg heroin cache

In a joint operation, the Patiala GRP (Government Railway Police) and RPF (Railway Protection Force) successfully apprehended a male and a female at the Patiala Railway Station in possession of 30 kilograms of heroin. The suspects, residents of Madhya Pradesh, were allegedly planning to transport a substantial quantity of narcotics to Bathinda for distribution.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Sukhwinder Singh of RPF Patiala revealed that the arrest resulted from vigilant monitoring and intelligence operations. The seized heroin, concealed in 15-kilogram packets, was intended for distribution in Bathinda. Each suspect was carrying two such packets.
The arrest took place as the suspects were about to board a train to Bathinda. Both individuals are currently in police custody, and their remand has been obtained for a thorough interrogation. Further investigation is underway to unravel additional details about their network and distribution channels.

The successful operation is a significant blow to the illicit drug trade in the region, demonstrating the commitment of Patiala Railway Police and GRP to combat drug trafficking activities.
