NEET 2024: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi Raises Concerns Over Examination in Letter to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan”

Calls for Immediate Action on Exam Conduct and Integrity Issues.

In a move to address pressing concerns surrounding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination, Shiv Sena (UBT) Member of Parliament, Priyanka Chaturvedi, has penned a letter to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The missive, dated 12th June, 2024 highlights critical issues related to the conduct of the NEET UG 2024 exam and subsequent revelations that have shaken confidence in the process.

The letter opens with a tone of urgency, emphasizing the gravity of the situation and the need for immediate attention and action. “This is to bring to your immediate and urgent attention the concern over the conduct of the NEET UG 2024 exam by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the further lapses that have been exposed after the release of results on 4th June. There have been concerns regarding the conduct of the exam, the paper having leaked before the exam, decision on awarding grace marks arbitrarily to students” the letter states

Among the primary concerns that outlined are allegations of the paper leaking prior to the examination, casting doubt on the integrity and fairness of the process. Additionally, the letter highlights inconsistency in the decision-making process regarding the awarding of grace marks to students, raising questions about transparency and accountability within the system.

The MP’s letter underscores the broader implications of these issues, particularly for aspiring medical students whose futures hinge on the outcome of the NEET examination. The conduct of NEET not only determines the fate of lakhs of students but also has far-reaching consequences for the healthcare sector in our country.

In calling for prompt action, Chaturvedi urges Minister Pradhan to address these concerns swiftly and comprehensively, emphasizing the importance of upholding the integrity and credibility of the NEET examination. It is imperative that immediate corrective measures are taken to restore student’s faith in the examination process and ensure that such lapses do not occur in the future.
