Covid-19 cases are on the rise in Ahmedabad city. Private hospitals in Ahmedabad city are also overflowing with Covid-19 patients as people line up in the dome for increasing corona tests before and after the festival. A private hospital treating Covid-19 cases in the city was full at 9.30am today. Of the total 72 private hospitals declared by the AMC for the treatment of Covid-19, 155 beds are vacant. There are 79 vacancies in isolation ward, 65 vacancies in HDU, eight vacancies without ICU ventilator and nine vacancies in ICU ventilator.
Regarding patients undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in a private hospital in Ahmedabad, out of a total of 2705 beds, 1015 beds are being treated in Isolation ward, 954 in HDU, 383 in ICU and 188 on ventilator in ICU. There are 3 vacancies in Ghuma Krishna Shelby Hospital in Ahmedabad, 2 in Little Flower Super Specialty Hospital in Maninagar, SMS Hospital in Chandkheda, Lifeline Group Hospital in Chandkheda, 1-1 in Atharva Hospital in Navavadaj and Sal Hospital in Thaltej. In short only 6 private hospitals have 9 ventilators in the ICU. 3 atharva Hospital, 2 at Shivalik Super Specialty Hospital in Viratnagar, Lifeline Group Hospital at Chandkheda, Karnavati Super Specialty on Naroda Road and 1-1 ICU bed at Sola’s Shalin Hospital are vacant.
