Lok Sabha MP Brijendra Singh inaugurates two-day international conference on sports

Sports serve as an antidote for the younger generation to avoid drug addiction, as expressed by Brijendra Singh, the Member of Parliament from the Hisar Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana, during the inaugural session of the two-day multidisciplinary international conference organized by the Physical Education Department of Government College Sector 1. Singh, who participated as the chief guest, highlighted the changing attitudes of society and the government towards sports over time. Haryana, with its rich sports culture, has established its international identity, and sports are now viewed as a respectable profession. Renowned sports surgeon Dr. Manit Arora presented on ‘Sports Injuries: New Age Management,’ and Dr. Sohrab Sharma, joining from Windsor, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, shared his views on sports and physiotherapy. Gitanjali Chhabra, an Assistant Professor at the University of Canada, presented on Artificial Intelligence in sports.
