Offices and schools of all the District Education Officers and District Elementary Education Officers across Haryana participated in the state-level Junior Red Cross Seminar organized by the Indian Red Cross Committee, Haryana State Branch. The event took place at Shri Nangli Bela Ashram on Trishikesh Road, Haridwar, within the sacred grounds of Haridwar.
Counsellors and district coordinators from various districts, including Gurugram, Hisar, Sonipat, Narnaul, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Bhiwani, Panchkula, Fatehabad, Ambala, Karnal, Charkhi Dadri, Kaithal, Yamunanagar, Rewari, Jind, Sirsa, Nuh, and Jhajjar, actively participated.
The three-day seminar concluded on Tuesday, with Dr. Mukesh Aggarwal, the General Secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society, Haryana State Branch, Chandigarh, serving as the Chief Guest. The concluding ceremony involved offering flowers on the portraits of Sir Jean Henry Dunant, Swami Vivekananda, and Bharat Mata. Dr. Mukesh Aggarwal addressed the participants from the offices of District Education Officers and District Basic Education Officers, highlighting the global significance of the Red Cross as the largest service-oriented organization.
Dr. Mukesh Aggarwal urged participants to adopt a culture of service in the cultural capital of the country and strengthen this culture for the world’s welfare.
He encouraged them to become lifelong members of the Red Cross Society and work towards spreading its principles. Emphasizing values such as humanity, impartiality, neutrality, he stressed the need to implement ideals like human welfare and service to the elderly in daily life.
Camp Director Ramashish Mandal warmly welcomed the Chief Guest and provided detailed information about the activities organized during the seminar. The seminar focused on discussions and activities involving JRCs, counselors, and district coordinators from various educational offices and schools. Joint Camp Director Vineet Gaba highlighted the ongoing activities of the Red Cross.
