Haryana DGP releases three pioneering legal books

Haryana Director General of Police, Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur, unveiled three books on legal provisions today—namely, “The Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam 2023,” “The Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023,” and “The Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023.” Authored by former Director General of Police, Dr. KP Singh, these works mark his prolific career with a total of 30 books, as he has previously written 27. The book launch event occurred at the Police Headquarters in Sector-6.

Dr. KP Singh, providing insights into the books, emphasised their accuracy in reflecting changes in the law. He highlighted the concise commentary on legal provisions, offering information about the modifications made. Additionally, efforts were made to elucidate changes by comparing the old rules with the new ones.

The book’s cover removed legal provisions, introduce new sections, and highlight significant amendments to important laws. Dr. KP Singh mentioned that although the books are currently available in English, translations into Hindi will be made available in the coming week.

Presenting detailed information about the books to senior police officers in attendance, Dr. KP Singh explained the changes in legal provisions. Director General of Police Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur expressed his thoughts, thanking Dr. KP Singh and conveying best wishes. Kapur emphasized that Dr. KP Singh’s accomplishment of preparing these books in record time is noteworthy and will undoubtedly prove beneficial.
The event had the presence of Additional Director General of Police, OP Singh, AS Chawla, and other senior officers from the police department.
