An activity team led by Amita Marwah organized a dance competition at Yavnika Open Air Theater, Sector 5, Panchkula, where more than 350 children from the entire tricity participated and danced enthusiastically to Salman Khan’s songs.
Every child from the team received a medal, certificate, and refreshments. In five categories, children participated, and Gunjan won the trophy and 11,000 rupees in the under-10 category. Roshita won 11,000 rupees and a trophy in the under-17 category, while Anand triumphed in the over-17 age group, securing a 2,100 rupee trophy. The kids from D Dance Company won in the Junior Group, receiving 5,100 rupees and a trophy, and in the Senior Group, KP Top Crew won 5,100 rupees and a trophy. Choreographers from across the tricity—Rehan, Mohan Kumar, Gaurav, Viraj, Roshan, Maik, Rahul, Sunil, Pradeep, Amon, and Avinash—were also honored. Raj Kapoor, Navdeep Bandhu, Neeru Saharan, and Deena Nath were the four judges. The evening dedicated to Salman Khan commenced at 7 PM with Salman’s songs at Yavnika Park and continued with great enthusiasm until midnight. The President of the AMT Society, Amita Marwah, mentioned that the night was named after their favorite star Salman Khan. Members of the team such as P. Chand Marwah, Chetan Marwah, Rajni Marwah, Amit Bansal, Kuldeep Bamba, Vikram Vig, Himanshi, Ishani, Shivam, Rachna, and Kalash Palwanda were present. Additionally, Guru Roop Chand and Pandit Mahendra Prasad Sharma were honored for their commendable contributions in the Kathak and Tabla domains, respectively.
