Google Pixel 9 To Launch On August 13: Gemini, Pixel Watch 3 And More

Google has announced a significant hardware event set for August 13. At this event, the tech giant will unveil several new, futuristic, and AI-driven devices and technologies. Last week, the company disclosed that the event will feature the launch of its flagship devices, including the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Additionally, the company will introduce the Google Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 at the event, which will commence at 10 AM PT (around 10:30 PM IST).

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold

Google has teased its two premium smartphones, the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The news emerged when the company shared details on its official X (formerly known as Twitter) page.

The Pixel 9 Pro, according to the X post, resembles its predecessor, the Pixel 8 Pro. However, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to be the highlight of the event, marking Google’s second foldable device.

The teaser also reveals that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have a sleek design, featuring dual pill-shaped camera cutouts located on a rectangular island in the top-left corner of the rear panel. While the teaser doesn’t provide details about the inner screen’s camera, rumors suggest it will include a punch-hole camera on the left side, marking an upgrade from the bezel-mounted camera on the first foldable model.

Gemini Era

The teaser also emphasizes the integration of Gemini AI in the upcoming Pixel devices, highlighting the focus on advanced AI features.

Both the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will feature the tagline “A (foldable) phone built for the Gemini era,” suggesting a strong emphasis on AI capabilities.
