GIFT FOR A JAB: CHANDIGARH ADMIN ASKS PEOPLE TO COME FORWARD FOR INOCULATION

There are more than 75000 people from Chandigarh and other states who got 1st dose from Chandigarh but after completing the requisite gap, they are yet to get the second dose. In an order to make people come forward, Chandigarh Administration has come up with an appealing idea that people who will get themselves inoculated between 18 Nov to 30 Nov, theirs’ names would be included in Lucky draw and they will be given gift coupon of Rs 1000/- in December.

UT Chandigarh in its latest order stated that Many of the NGOs, Associations, and Corporates have come forward to encourage the vaccination in UT Chandigarh with the aim of 100% vaccination of the targeted population with both doses. Following have offered to provide gift hampers/ coupons etc to those persons who come forward for vaccination: M/s Trident Group, Chandigarh, M/s Kandhari Beverages Pvt Ltd, Chandigarh, Hotel and Restaurant Association of Chandigarh. The UT Chandigarh further stated that any of the organization/association/Society who wants to contribute atleast 25 gift hampers/coupons of Rs. 1,000/ – each may contact Rakesh Popli, Director Hospitality, UT Administration, Chandigarh, Rajiv Tiwari, Director Public Relations, UT Administration, Chandigarh.

UT Chandigarh is having a targeted population of above 18 years of 8, 43, 000 for COVID Vaccination. The first done vaccination has already been given to 110 % of the targeted population which indicates that many of the residents of other states/ UT have gotten their vaccination done in UT Chandigarh.

Health Secretary Yashpal Garg while releasing this order stated that all the Market Associations /Trade Associations/ Resident Welfare Associations/ Vyapar Mandal/NGOs and Corporates etc are requested to ensure that all eligible persons in the families of their staff/ members have taken both the doses of the COVID vaccination and also to ensure that their friends/relative/known persons are also covered.
