Cold conditions prevailed in Haryana and Punjab, with Bathinda and Fatehabad being the coldest places, recording lows of 5.7 degrees Celsius and 5.4 degrees Celsius, respectively, as reported by the weather office on Wednesday.

Fog during the morning houars significantly reduced visibility in the two states. In Haryana, among other places, Karnal experienced biting cold, with a recorded low of 6 degrees Celsius. Ambala, Hisar, Bhiwani, and Sirsa also had a cold night, with respective minimum temperatures of 6.5 degrees Celsius, 6.2 degrees Celsius, 6.5 degrees Celsius, and 7 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Patiala recorded minimum temperatures of 6.6 degrees Celsius, 6.1 degrees Celsius, and 6.2 degrees Celsius, respectively. Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, reported a low of 7.2 degrees Celsius.
