Excise policy scam: ED questions Manish Sisodia in Tihar Jail

In the case of Mnish Sisodia’s arrest, there is a new update as ED is questioning former deputy CM, Sisodia, at the Tihar Jail in connection with the Delhi excise policy scam.

Earlier on Tuesday, the officials of the Enforcement Directorate questioned and recorded the statement of the former AAP leader. The agency has launched a fresh probe in the case after taking businessman Arun Ramchandra Pillai into custody.

The ED has summoned MLCs of Bharatiya Rashtriya Samiti and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s daughter K Kavitha, for questioning on Thursday. She was questioned by the CBI in December of last year.

Notably, Sisodia was arrested on February 26 in connection with the alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of the excise policy of GNCTD. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court sent him to judicial custody till 20 March.
