Delhi Police have filed a 640-page chargesheet against Sahil, accused of killing a 16-year-old minor girl in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy.
“A 640-page final chargesheet against Sahil, accused of killing a 16-year-old minor girl in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy, has been filed in the court,” Delhi Police said.
The minor was allegedly killed after being stabbed multiple times and her head being crushed with a boulder by a 23-year-old man named Sahil in New Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area on May 28, the police said.
The accused was arrested by the Delhi Police near Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh on May 29. Earlier on May 1, the police recovered the knife allegedly used by the accused to kill the minor in the Shahbad Dairy area, officials said.
A CCTV grab of the incident shows Sahil purportedly stabbing the girl multiple times with a knife. He continued to stab her even when she slumped to the ground. He kicked her and then took a concrete slab lying nearby and bludgeoned her head. All this while the footage showed people watching the events unfold and walking past without intervening. At one point a dog is seen approaching the spot.
The police said that it had registered FIR in the matter under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Shahbad Dairy Police Station on complaint of deceased’s father on 29 May 2023, Outer North District Delhi.
As per CCTV footage , the accused was identified as Sahil s/o Sarfaraj r/o D-72 Gali no. 4, Barwala ( Delhi) age 23 years and he was arrested on 29 May 23 from Bulandsehar(UP) on basis of secret information. He was brought to Delhi after all legal formalities.
The detailed investigation was carried on in which, it was revealed that accused Sahil and deceased were in relationship but they often had quarrels and fights. On 27 May 2023 , the deceased and accused had a quarrel in evening over which accused decided to take revenge. He finally murdered girl by stabbing with knife and hitting with stone slab on 28 May 23(evening) when she was going to community toilet as she was to attend a birthday party of her friend’s child.
The detailed investigation was conducted in which weapon of offence knife , clothes and shoes worn by accused at time of offence were recovered on his instance.
Further the scientific evidences such as CCTV footages, voice samples and biological evidences have been collected .A total 14 biological exhibits, 1 chemical exhibit,4 physics exhibit and 1 cyber exhibit were sent to FSL/ Rohini. FSL /Rohini was persued and they have provided the results timely.
Also sections 25/27 Arms Act, 354 Aand 509 IPC , 12 POCSO Act and 3(2)(v) SC & ST Act were added in the present case.
