Commissioner/Secretary of Higher Education for UT Ladakh, Padma Angmo, emphasized the commitment to education and development in the region during her visit to Government Degree College, Khaltse.

Welcomed warmly by the Principal of the College, Prof. Stanzin Yangdol, Commissioner/Secretary Padma Angmo was greeted with traditional khataks, symbolizing respect and goodwill. Prof. Yangdol provided an insightful overview of the college’s journey, highlighting its achievements since establishment.

The visit included a comprehensive presentation by student Dolma Tsondus, showcasing various academic and non-academic events at the college, offering a glimpse into the vibrant student life. A cultural touch was added with a soulful group song performance by the students. Addressing the gathering, Commissioner/Secretary Padma Angmo lauded the college’s holistic development and growth. Engaging with faculty members and students, she shared valuable insights and outlined opportunities for further enhancement.

Commissioner/Secretary Padma Angmo also visited the new campus at Zerthang, interacting with students and faculty to assess the facilities and infrastructure firsthand.
