CM Gehlot to ignite phase 2 of 7 Guarantees Yatra in Kota

In a strategic move, the Congress party is set to kickstart the second phase of its 7 Guarantees Yatra, beginning today, November 14th. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is scheduled to launch the yatra at 10 am from the Kota division, with subsequent phases commencing in Ajmer on November 15th.
Today, CM Gehlot is expected to arrive in Kota at 9:30 am, underscoring the significance of the initiative. The yatra will unfold across six divisions, covering Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Bharatpur, and Ajmer, aligning with the party’s commitment to its guarantees.
Furthermore, Congress is organising a Guarantee Dialogue in Sriganganagar, Srimadhopur, and Gangapur City on Tuesday, featuring prominent leaders such as National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi.
The political landscape is abuzz with activity, as Rahul Gandhi is slated to address gatherings in Churu district’s Taranagar, Hanumangarh district’s Nohar, and Sadulshahr of the district on November 16th. This robust itinerary underscores the party’s commitment to engaging with the public.
Adding to the momentum, the yatra will culminate in Jaipur on November 13th, with Chief Minister Gehlot reaching the capital at 5 pm. As the Congress party intensifies its outreach efforts, these events are expected to shape the political narrative in the region.
Earlier on Sunday, CM Gehlot targeted the opposition saying that those who were behind the murder of Kanhaiya Lal were “BJP people”, who had been freed from police detention days before the incident under the party’s pressure.
The Udaipur tailor was murdered on June 28 last year by two cleaver-wielding men who accused him of insulting Islam. The opposition BJP in the state dismissed the allegation and attributed the tailor’s brutal murder to the failure of the Congress-ruled state government to contain communal incidents.“The accused in the Kanhaiya Lal murder case are BJP people. They had been caught by police two three days before the incident over some altercation and the BJP leaders had got them out from police detention,” Gehlot alleged.
In his recent speeches in Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also targeted the Gehlot government over the incident. The Prime Minister said, “Under the tenure of Congress, incidents that shame humanity are happening to the people. The terror incident with Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur is a big blot on Congress and it happened because Congress is sympathising with terrorists.”
The Chief Minister also raised doubts about the investigation conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the murder case, saying it has been dragging its feet in the matter and nobody knows what was going on.
He claimed, “We had caught the accused within two-three hours of the murder, but the NIA took over the case the same night. We do not know since then what the progress in the case has been. Had it been with SOG, there would have been some progress.”
A few days back Gehlot addressed a public meeting in Bali, where he said, “The BJP accuses us of not being Hindus, not being cow worshippers. There is no substance in these allegations. We have done the most work and provided the most funding for cows.” He asserted that the Congress government in Rajasthan has done the most for the cows in the state.
The Congress leader accused the BJP of fanning tension and said the opposition party never talks about development. The BJP’s Hindutva agenda will not work in Rajasthan, Gehlot added. “They exploited Lord Hanuman in the Karnataka election but had to bite the dust. But this time, their agenda of Hindutva will not work. Rajasthan is a model state today and only the agenda of development will work,” he asserted. Taking a dig at Prime Minister Modi’s and Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visits to Rajasthan for campaigning, Gehlot said, “Now Yogi (Adityanath) is coming and everybody knows what kind of person he is.”
“Modi and Shah have been continuously visiting Rajasthan. Now, Yogiji is said to be coming to Jodhpur. Just imagine what kind of person they are sending. Everybody knows their agenda,” Gehlot said.
