Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) will be completed within 5 years at all costs. Through the ERCP, abundant water can be made available for drinking and irrigation in Eastern Rajasthan.

The double-engine government of the central and state governments has expedited the resolution of issues arising in the past month, while the previous government had kept this project hanging.

This statement was made by the Chief Minister during the unveiling ceremony and dedication of Maharaja Surajmal’s statue at Maharaja Surajmal Bridge University in Bharatpur on Tuesday.

He said, “The saga of Maharaja Surajmal’s valour is always remembered. His administrative ability, foresight, and unique warfare skills are an inspiration for the new generation. He said that our government, working diligently for the benefit of farmers, has paved the way for the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Link Project (Unified ERCP) by rectifying it. This project will make abundant water available for Eastern Rajasthan.”

The CM said, “In recent years, the future of the state’s youth has been spoiled by incidents of paper leaks. Our government has formed an SIT to investigate these cases, and action will be taken against the guilty officers involved in corruption in the uncontracted buses of the Roadways, even after the court decides to pay the pending benefits of retired employees. A task force has been formed to free the state from gangs, and 25 people have already been arrested. Our government has taken concrete steps to ensure better law and order in the state.”

He said, “We will fulfil every guarantee of the Prime Minister.”

Also present in the program was Deputy Chief Minister Dr Premchand Bairwa, who said that the youth played a crucial role in realizing the resolution of developed India in the Amrit period of independence under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

During this, Home State Minister Jawahar Singh Bedi, Chancellor Prof. Ramesh Chandra, MLA Bahadur Singh Koli, Nauksham Choudhary, along with various public representatives, teachers, and students were also present.
