Following allegations of kidnapping a married woman from the city, a case has been registered against a migrant named Lovepreet Singh, who has been arrested. Investigation is ongoing to locate the whereabouts of the alleged abductee.
Confirming the incident, SHO Simarjeet Singh stated that on November 22nd, Gurpreet, the married woman, was outside for some work when Lovepreet, the migrant, forcefully took her in a car and drove away. Her whereabouts remain unknown till now.
While Lovepreet returned to Zirakpur after a few days, there are still no leads on the whereabouts of the married woman. On the other hand, based on a complaint filed by the married woman’s brother Vijay, the police have filed a case against Lovepreet for alleged kidnapping and keeping her in an undisclosed location.
