During a search operation in fields near the India-Pakistan border in Firozpur, BSF personnel have seized a packet containing 480 grams of heroin. The Public Relations Officer of BSF Punjab Frontier revealed that they received intelligence about the drone delivery of heroin by Pakistani smugglers to the LS Wala village area. Based on this intelligence, a search operation was conducted by the BSF, leading to the discovery of a packet wrapped in yellow tape during the search operation. Additionally, the packet had a small illuminating ball attached to it.
The officials mentioned that seizing this heroin sent via drone by Pakistani smugglers once again thwarts the nefarious intentions of both Pakistani and Indian smugglers. According to available information, the international market value of the seized heroin is estimated at around 2 crore 40 lakhs Indian rupees.
