To assess the internal security situation in the country, threats of terrorism Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a high-level meeting of Intelligence Bureau officers soon across the country.
The meeting will be held with Intelligence Bureau officers in Delhi to assess internal security.
Meanwhile, at a secret and highly secured location in the city, the meeting will be held between 11 am to 5 pm.
According to the senior official in the Ministry of Home Affairs, “The Home Minister will take stock of the overall internal security scenario, intelligence gathering network and other aspects needed to be addressed so that robust internal security is ensured in the country.”
Moreover, in the meeting, the issues which will be discussed are likely the threats of terrorism which are increasing by the global terror groups. The other issues which will be discussed are terror financing, narco-terrorism, organized crime-terror nexus, illicit use of cyberspace, and movement of foreign terrorist fighters.
The major issues expected to be discussed are the coordination among state and central security agencies.
However, across the country, senior officers are expected to attend the meeting with intelligence-related issues. Among the topmost officers which will attend the meeting are Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla and IB chief Tapan Deka.
Earlier on Tuesday Union Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with the BJP core committee ahead of the Gujarat assembly polls in Delhi. The meeting was attended by many senior leaders like BJP national president JP Nadda, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, BJP state president CR Patil and other CEC members.
