Ahead of Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar may quit today: Source

The Haryana cabinet may tender mass resignation today with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also stepping down as the buzz to hold Lok Sabha and Assembly elections simultaneously in the state grows, sources say. The state has a Bharatiya Janata Party-Jannayak Janta Party government in the state with the sources saying that the tie-up is coming to an end.

Sources say that JJP will not be part of the new cabinet that will be sworn in after the alliance breaks up.

While Lok Sabha election will take place in April-May 2024, Haryana Assembly election is scheduled for October 2024.
