In the raids of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), two AK-47s have been recovered from the house of Prem Prakash, a close aide of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday.
In Jharkhand illegal mining scam, the investigative agency conducted raids at 16 places in the state on Wednesday. Prem Prakash is a resident of Sasaram in Bihar and during a raid in Ranchi two AK-47 rifles were found in the almirah of his house.
Meanwhile, the ED team is also investigating the old office of Prem Prakash, which was closed for a few days. Prakash was considered to have strong penetration in the politics of Jharkhand.
Earlier, the ED has already questioned him and after a few hours of questioning, he was released by the ED.
Moreover, Prem Prakash used to do the work of supplying eggs for the mid-day meal. After this, within eight years, Prakash became the broker of Jharkhand. Prakash is considered a major player in the management of several contracts besides transfers and postings of IPS and IAS officers in the state.
However, Prem Prakash got the job of supplying eggs in the mid-day meal under the ready-to-eat food system started by the Jharkhand government in 2015-16.
