On the occasion of Basant Panchami, a mass wedding ceremony was organized by the Srujan Charitable Trust in the town of Sujangarh in the Churu district of the state. In this mass wedding, 116 couples from 5 states were joined in the bonds of matrimony. Witnessing the ceremony were Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, the priest of Salasar Dham, and devotees who had come for the darshan of Balaji.

The entire town of Salasar gathered to witness this grand procession. Relatives of the grooms danced and sang along the procession. Upon reaching the entrance gate of the Salasar Balaji Temple, the wedding procession was welcomed with a shower of flowers by the priestly family. At the Shri Balaji Gaushala campus in the town, 116 grooms collectively tied ceremonial threads.

Central Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal remarked that this initiative by Srujan Charitable Trust is highly inspirational. This initiative will promote equality. He likened it to how when different wells receive water, they all become one.

RSS leader Indresh Kumar also arrived at the event to bless the newlyweds.
