In a grand event held at her luxurious Mumbai residence, Antilia, International Olympic Committee member Nita Ambani honored India’s Olympians and Paralympians on Sunday. The celebration, titled “United in Triumph,” brought together 140 athletes from various sports, recognizing their dedication and achievements on the international stage.

Honoring India’s Sporting Heroes

The event was a tribute to the hard work and perseverance of these athletes, who have brought pride to the country. Speaking about the event, Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani said, “We are so proud of them. We are proud of each and every one of them. And today, we are going to honour them and show them the love and respect we have for them.” She further expressed her hope that “United in Triumph” could evolve into a movement promoting unity and inclusiveness in both sports and life.

Nita Ambani with Champions

Dressed elegantly in a red saree, Nita Ambani posed alongside Olympic medalists Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra, as well as Paralympic champions Navdeep Singh and Mona Agarwal. Describing them as “Bharat ki Shaan” (Pride of India), she called for applause from the attendees, celebrating their incredible accomplishments.

A Star-Studded Evening

The event saw the participation of several prominent Olympians and Paralympians, including Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, and Devendra Jhajharia, the first Indian to win two Paralympic gold medals. Other notable athletes present included Sumit Antil, Nitesh Kumar, Harvinder Singh, and Praveen Kumar. The Ambani family, including Mukesh Ambani, played gracious hosts, welcoming the athletes and Bollywood celebrities, such as Ranveer Singh and Kartik Aryan.
