A training aircraft operated by Chetak Aviation crash-landed in a field in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj district on Monday while on a solo training sortie from Aligarh, officials said. The trainee pilot escaped unhurt.

The aircraft, bearing registration VT-AFB, was engaged in solo flying when it made a crash landing in a field. The pilot, a woman trainee, is reported to be safe.

The aircraft is operated by Chetak Aviation, a DGCA-approved Flying Training Organisation (FTO) based in Aligarh. The Cessna 152 is a two-seat, single-engine aircraft widely used for ab-initio pilot training.
