PICTURE OF THE FIFA WORLD CUP PRINTED ON THE TAIL OF THE PLANE / WRITING ON THE PLANE READING IN (English) "THE ORIGINAL TROPHY IS HERE" STORY: The FIFA World Cup trophy landed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday (January 3) at the start of a tour that will see the iconic trophy visit 30 FIFA Member Associations across 75 stops over 150 tour days.   The 2026 tour started in the country which will host the World Cup in 2034 before it travels to all three host countries for this year's tournament, the United States, Canada and Mexico.  The trophy tour will also include the host nations for the 2030 tournament, Morocco, Portugal and Spain. Italian World Cup winner Alessandro Del Piero carried the trophy on its first stop in Riyadh where Saudi dignitaries including the Vice President Of Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Lamia Bahaian,were present to mark the occasion.
