PRESS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS 11. (SOUNDBITE) (English) WASHINGTON COMMANDERS HEAD COACH DAN QUIN SAYING: "Being a Washington Commander at the core means being an absolute warrior and that's what I want all of Spain to see us, so every Commander fan that will be made over the weekend that's a big deal, we actually talked about that. We get to put that on full display for the country and we hope to earn that respect in this game." 12. VARIOUS OF TRAINING IN PROGRESS 13. (SOUNDBITE) (English) WASHINGTON COMMANDERS HEAD COACH DAN QUIN SAYING: "The toughest thing is probably adapting to a new environment where the guys come to train and practice and so had to get all that set up, when on a normal road trip you practice at your own facility and then pack up and go play, when you do an extended trip now we go for treatment, then we go for the recovery work, the locker room, so finding those spaces and getting into that vibe takes a few days." 14. MARIOTA THROWING BALL 15. (SOUNDBITE) (English) WASHINGTON COMMANDERS HEAD COACH DAN QUIN SAYING ABOUT U.S. PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP COMMENTS ABOUT TEAM: "It's not a topic in our locker room, we have in the NFL a month dedicated to recognising military men and women, it's called 'Salute to service', and during that month it hits differently in Washington DC because you see so many military leaders, seeing all those leaders at the game including the President, what a cool honour to be part of the NFL, knowing they support so much the service men and women so I feel proud to be a part of that, but as far as the politics go, the guys really stay connected on to the events that are more specific to them and sometimes you do want that to be a division." 16. I feel like this is an opportunity that not a lot of people get, as far as playing in the NFL, in Spain, Madrid, I feel like we are ready, I feel like in these last few practices you can see from us that no matter who's in the game we are all going to go out there and compete it a 100 per cent." 21. PRESS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS 22. (SOUNDBITE) (English) WASHINGTON COMMANDERS RUNNING BACK JACORY CROSKEY-MERRITT. SAYING: "This is an unreal moment right now, just being right here with my brothers talking to you guys. It ain't get no better than this, I truely mean it, I'm just blessed to do what I love with great people and I mean, this is unreal right now." 23. PRESS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS 24. (SOUNDBITE) (English) WASHINGTON COMMANDERS RUNNING BACK JEREMY MCNICHOLS SAYING ABOUT TRAINING AT REAL MADRID FACILITIES: "It is a world class soccer team and just being able to be a part of something like this is unreal. All these great athletes here and we've been able to be on the same filed, I wish we could meet the players. I don't know if they are here or whatever, there's a lot of security around here so you gotta protect some of the best athletes in the world. I did see some younger guys around here jogging, but I think that was school or class, or whatever the case may be, but it's just a great opportunity to be part of something like this, it's just amazing." 25. VARIOUS OF PLAYERS TRAINING STORY: Washington Commanders were delighted to train in Madrid on Friday (November 14) ahead of their historic NFL regular-season game against the Miami Dolphins at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Head coach Dan Quinn led the session, emphasizing preparation and adaptation to the new environment. Players went through drills, with quarterbacks Marcus Mariota and rookie Sam Hartman sharing reps as the team adjusts to the absence of injured starter Jayden Daniels. At a press conference, Quinn said the team is excited to showcase its identity in Spain, calling the game “a big deal” for building new fans. President Donald Trump wants the Washington Commanders to put his name on their future stadium, ESPN reported last week Quinn dismissed the political distractions, noting the team’s commitment to honouring military service during the NFL’s “Salute to Service” month Both teams enter the game with 3-7 records, making Sunday’s clash crucial for playoff hopes.
