India vs Pakistan, Asia Cup 2025: India chased down the score of 171 by Pakistan, winning six wickets in the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four match. After deciding to bat, Pakistan set a competitive score with the help of Sahibzada Farhan’s 58 off 45 balls. India’s top order, headed by Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill, made the chase look easy, ending the innings at 174/4 in 18.5 overs.

Abhishek Sharma Shines for India

Abhishek Sharma was the star of the show with the bat, smashing a 74 off 39 deliveries, with six boundaries and five sixes, at a strike rate of 189.74. He stabilized the chase after Shubman Gill’s 47 off 28 deliveries.

Abhishek and Gill’s stand gave India the impetus to pursue the total with overs to spare. Tilak Varma made 30 off 19 balls, and Sanju Samson made 13 before being dismissed by Haris Rauf.

Shubman Gill Sets the Pace

Shubman Gill was attacking right from the beginning, hitting eight boundaries in his 47-run innings. He ensured that India hit 105-1 by the 10th over, laying the platform for Sharma and the middle order to drive the innings ahead. The aggression of the openers got Pakistan on the back foot early in the run-chase.
