GUARDIOLA WATCHING ON STORY: Pep Guardiola heaped praise on star striker Erling Haaland, as the Norwegian prepares to face his former club in the Champions League on Wednesday (November 5). Haaland scored 86 goals in 89 games for German outfit Borussia Dortmund before his 2022 move to Manchester, and has hit the ground running this season with 17 goals in his 13 outings. Pep Guardiola’s side sit a place below the visitors in the Champions League table, with both sides on seven points. Dortmund have lost only once this season in all competitions – against Bayern Munich in Der Klassiker – whilst City bounced back from defeat to Villa with a win over Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday. That result lifted City to second in the Premier League, whilst Dortmund find themselves in third in the Bundesliga, behind Bayern and RB Leipzig.
