Conor McGregor is actively campaigning to headline the historic UFC White House card, set to take place in June 2026 in the lead-up to American Independence Day, July 4th. UFC President and CEO Dana White spoke on the topic during the post-fight press conference of UFC 320. Amid all this, it has been revealed that the UFC star is currently serving an 18-month suspension due to UFC’s anti-doping policy violation. In addition, Khabib Nurmagomedov also reacted to the news on the 7th anniversary of their historic UFC 229 Match.

White cleared the air around Conor McGregor’s UFC return and stated that fight negotiations for the UFC White House card have not begun yet. Speaking on the timeline, he clarified that any fight negotiations for the card won’t likely start until February 2026. Furthermore, he mentioned that the card is still in the production stages, with the UFC team working on how they plan to deliver on a historic opportunity.

Conor McGregor Serving 18 Month Suspension From UFC

As reported by ESP, Conor McGregor is currently serving an 18-month suspension from competition in the UFC due to a violation of UFC’s anti-doping police (ADP). The former double champ and BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Club) owner was found in violation of UFC’s Anti-Doping Policy for missing three attempted biological sample collections within 12 months in 2024. The violation earned him an 18-month suspension from competition.

The suspension period began back on September 20, 2024 and will restrict the former double champ from competing in the UFC till March 20, 2026.

Khabib Nurmagomedov reacts to Conor McGregor’s Suspension

Khabib Nurmagomedov reacted to Conor McGregor’s suspension on his Instagram. Reposting the news, the Dagestani fighter zoomed in on the caption, cropping out McGregor’s face from the screen. This is another addition to the well-documented rivalry between the two that began during their promotions for their historic on UFC 229 in 2018. 

The news also marks the 7th anniversary of their historic UFC 229 fight, which took place on 6th Oc 2018 (7th October in India).
