With just a few weeks to go before the Bihar assembly elections, political activity in the state has reached fever pitch. In a moment of amusement in the middle of political rallies, yatras, and speeches, an incident with opposition leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav has captured the imagination of social media.

Viral video on Marine Drive Patna

A dance video featuring Tejaswi himself dancing with groups of young reel creators on Patna’s Marine Drive to a song by Bhojpuri singer Khesari Lal Yadav has gone viral on social media. The song, which extols the virtues of both Tejaswi and his father, Rastriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has resonated with his support base.

Tejaswi Yadav Reaction:

In his post, RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav explained, “The hallmark of a good leader is that he never allows his supporters to get restless. Yesterday some young people were doing reels at Marine Drive. When they spotted my car, they insisted that I also join them. This is the video you are watching now.”

The nighttime clip went viral within minutes on all platforms. Yadav’s sister, Rohini Acharya, further created buzz by putting the clip on Instagram with the caption “future Chief Minister,” generating gossip and hysteria among RJD loyalists.

While his multiple fans and followers welcomed the viral scene as a reflection of his accessibility and youthfulness, opposition parties branded it as a publicity stunt. Still, the viral clip of Tejaswi Yadav has infused new life into Bihar’s already tense pre-election environment, highlighting how leaders are a part of both rallies and reels to reach voters as polling day is on board.
