Chhath Puja 2025 Puja Vidhi in Samastipur Bihar

The traditionality claims that the Puja Vidhi for Chhath Puja is a rigorous four-day process. Purification during Chhath includes bathing, observing a strict fast, and offering Usha Arghya and Sandhya Arghya to the sun while standing in water.

What is Paran in Chhath Puja?

Paran is the final and concluding ritual of Chhath Puja. It takes place after the Usha Arghya on the last day, when devotees end their 36-hour-long nirjala fast (fast without food and water). The fast is broken by consuming prasad and water, marking the completion of the puja with devotion, gratitude, and a sense of spiritual fulfilment. It is the act of breaking the 36-hour-long, waterless fast (nirjala vrat) after offering the morning prayers (Usha Arghya) to the rising sun on the fourth day. The fast is broken by consuming the sacred prasad and water.
