In the Congress government, all appointments in Boards-Corporations have been cancelled by the Bhajan Lal government. The Department of Administrative Reforms has issued orders in this regard. Along with the boards and corporations, commissions, task forces, state-level and district-level committees have also been dissolved. Non-governmental chairpersons, vice-chairpersons, and members have also been terminated. However, these orders will not apply to only those commissions that are constituted under the provisions of the constitution, but officers such as those from the Human Rights Commission, Public Service Commission, Information Commission, etc., can be removed by bringing a motion of impeachment and passing it in the legislature. In addition to these, all other appointments have been cancelled. It is worth noting that the previous Gehlot government had formed a large number of new boards. Many boards of various communities were included in them. Although most of the appointments were not made, those who were already serving on the boards or corporations created earlier were still working even after the change of government. Now, after the issuance of orders by the Department of Administrative Reforms, their appointments have been cancelled.
In the states, party workers along with retired officials and enlightened people of society are often given positions in boards, corporations, or committees by the government. Through these appointments, political parties often please their workers. In this regard, the Bharatiya Janata Party government will make new appointments.
